Grof® Legacy Training USA
We are excited to welcome our first groups of participants in the Grof® Breathwork Facilitator Training Program based in the United States. Spaces remain available for beginning training in the spring of 2024. Successive starts of the program will be developed on a rolling basis as we receive applications. Developed under the guidance of Stan and Brigitte Grof, our program combines online and in-person work to offer deep immersion in the theoretical work of Stanislav Grof and the practical techniques for supporting healing and growth in holotropic states of consciousness.
Our Level I Training focuses on personal work, mentoring, incremental study of Grofian psychology through online modules, and development of facilitation skills through four in-person modules grounded in the experience of Grof Breathwork sessions as breather and sitter. Level 1 is comprised of four Units in which participants admitted to the program may enroll at their own pace. Although the program is self-paced, we offer successive "starts" of the program to allow those interested in completing the Level 1 program in approximately 14 to 18 months to enroll in successive units with a "core group" having started together. As spaces open up in our units as some participants pace their work, those ready to join existing "core groups" will be welcomed into the program.
Level II continues training through apprenticeship, mentoring, and additional in-person experiences designed to gradually increase expertise and confidence in facilitating holotropic work. Level II will be completed at one's own pace of development (estimated at approximately one year) and leads to authorization to conduct Grof Breathwork workshops independently.

Successful completion of Level I will also qualify participants for application to the USA-based Grof Psychedelic Facilitation Program, planned to open in 2025. We anticipate offering programs focusing on spiritual emergence/emergency and supporting the dying process in future years.

Grof Legacy Training USA works in association with the Grof Studies Graduate Programs, which offers the opportunity to work towards masters or doctoral degrees while pursuing certification tracks. Degrees in the Grof Studies Graduate Programs are awarded in cooperation with Ubiquity University.
Our sister organization, the nonprofit Grof Legacy Project USA, offers public workshops and residential retreats, consultation services, creation of special projects, and development of a resource directory and archival material. The Grof Legacy Project will be building a scholarship fund to support access to both educational and training events in the Grof lineage.
