GLT-USA Psychedelics Facilitator Program 

Planned to begin in 2025, the GLT-USA Psychedelic Facilitator Program will be offered in our first years to those who have completed Level 1 of the GLT-USA Grof Breathwork Facilitator Program or have closely commensurate experience (for instance prior certification as a breathwork facilitator in the Grof lineage). 

In contrast to other psychedelic facilitator training programs, our program will be grounded in extensive experiential training in holotropic states and facilitation of psychedelics experiences. Although not repeating the grounding in Stan Grof's work offered in our Level I training, we will continue immersion in theoretical understandings and research findings emerging from Stan's sixty years of consciousness research and continued in the psychedelics renaissance. Participants will become familiar with the extensive and growing body of recent research supporting the value, as well as risks, of psychedelic assisted therapy for various therapeutic issues and with use of various substances. 

Our program will include consideration of application of energy release techniques (bodywork) for assistance to psychedelic experiencers during or following experiences with psychedelics, as well as use of Grof Breathwork for preparation, integration or alternative to working with psychedelics. 

The program will include consideration of when and under what circumstances particular psychedelic substances are appropriately offered to particular individuals based on assessment of individual history, goals, and aptitudes. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the nature, potential benefits, and specific risks of the various substances coming into use in the psychedelic renaissance. The program will incorporate experiences with a range of healing substances only in lawful settings. When possible, experiences will be offered in the United States, although retreats outside the United States are expected based on our commitment to work in lawful settings. Grof Breathwork will be used for training and continuation of personal and professional development, along with personal experiences in the use of medicines important for healing purposes in our times. 

While still under construction, our Psychedelics Facilitator Program will offer mentoring and apprenticeship analogous to that offered in our Level II Grof Breathwork Facilitator Program. In addition, at least four experiential modules including the experience of particular psychedelic medicines will be required. The two experiential modules that are part of the curriculum for our Level II Grof Breathwork Facilitator Training (Holotropic Music and Applied Grofian Psychology) will also be an essential component of the Psychedelics Facilitator Program. Individuals will be welcome to apply for simultaneous enrollment in the Level II and Psychedelics Facilitator programs.
